Nestled in rolling rural Northamptonshire, Pitsford Water offers something for everyone. A lovely blend of woodland, meadow and grassland, there are stunning views over the water, making it a great setting for fishing,

With a beautiful setting and clear waters, Pitsford Water’s bank and boat fishing reputation has grown to be some of the best fly fishing for trout and predator fishing in the country.

The trout fishing season at Pitsford Water runs from 29 February  to 31 January. Surface feeding fish make things interesting from the banks at both ends of the season.

And, with plenty of nooks, crannies, bays and points, the reservoir is full of surprises the year round, from bank or boat.

For those keen to hit the water, the Pitsford Water Fishing Lodge is your starting point for boats, permits, tackle and tuition. Contact us for more information or to book your boat and why not pop over to  our news page for the latest fishing reports from our waters.

Ravensthorpe Reservoir - Northamptonshire's hidden gem

Whether it is to fish, to enjoy the abundance of wildlife or simply to get out and about in the great outdoors, our 114-acre Victorian reservoir in Ravensthorpe is the perfect place to visit.

Popular with anglers, trout and predator fishing, is available from the bank, by boat, kayak or float tube.

Trout fishing at Ravensthorpe is available  from 28 February until 31 December. A range of permits are available to ensure you get the most from your visit.

Stocked in the early 1890s with trout, today Ravensthorpe is stocked with some 8500 rainbow trout each year. Larger fish, up to 15lb are stocked too.

Given the relatively shallow water, dry fly fishing is popular and early season buzzer fishing is exceptional.
